Bowl barrow with primary (?) cremation in large urn with a small decorated EBA handled cup.
author: Martin, Andrew, Dr.

There are some few barrows on these downs, one of which Mr. Cunnington opened. It is situated near Grant's farm, on the right side of the track-way, upon some newly broken up land, is large, though flat. It contained two rude urns, the one placed within the other, and an interment of burnt bones. The large urn was broken in pieces; the small one, containing about three pints, is still preserved in our Museum, and is rather particular in its shape, having a perforated and projecting handle.

Ex. WC: primary (?) cremation in large urn containing small decorated handled cup of EBA type. AW i. 66; Arch. xliii. 348, fig. 25; DMCat. i, no. 20.
